On 11 and 12 April 2026, the capital will host the 21st edition of Slovakia's biggest running event – the ČSOB Bratislava Marathon. The highlight will be Sunday's marathon, where we expect around 10,000 participants from almost 100 countries. Keeping them safe will require temporary restrictions for both private and public transport, mainly in the Staré Mesto, Ružinov and Petržalka districts.
General traffic information (Sunday 12 April)
The main traffic restrictions will be in place on Sunday from 08:30 to 14:00. The race starts at 09:00 on Pribinova street. Traffic at all affected junctions and road exits will be directed by the police, and the length of the closures will be adjusted to the movement of the runners.
A special regime will apply on Ružinovská street, where runners will run in both directions on the section from the Miletičova junction to the tram turning loop. On the second lap, only one (inner) lane from the Ružinovská/Tomášikova junction to the turning loop will be used by runners. The police will open cross traffic depending on the flow of participants.
Access to Eurovea and parking
If you plan to visit the Eurovea area, we recommend arriving by car by 08:00 at the latest on Sunday. After that, traffic in the area will be gradually restricted. We recommend arriving via Landererova street from the direction of the Apollo Bridge.
Saturday 11 April 2026:
• “Ružinov” and “Prístav” entrances/exits: open all day without restrictions.
• “Centrum” entrance (from Krupkova and Pribinova): closed from 09:00 to 17:30 because Pribinova street is closed. The exit from these garages remains open without restrictions.
Sunday 12 April 2026:
• “Ružinov” and “Prístav” entrances/exits: no restrictions all day.
• “Centrum” entrance: closed from 08:00 to 14:30. The exit from these garages remains open without restrictions.
If the underground garages are full, use the car parks in the surrounding area (Vajanského nábrežie, Gondova street, Tyršovo nábrežie or the city centre).

Information for pedestrians and public transport
Pedestrian access to Eurovea is possible all weekend. While runners are passing along Pribinova street, use the two footbridges (by the Ministry of the Interior building and by the Sheraton hotel). For families with pushchairs and people with disabilities, the organisers will regularly open a pedestrian crossing at Krupkova street.
You'll find all information about diverted public transport lines at www.dpb.sk. During Sunday's event a non-stop information line, 0904 404 638, will also be available with up-to-date information on restrictions on specific sections.
We thank all residents and visitors for their understanding and look forward to seeing you on the course or among the spectators!
