On Saturday 5 September 2026, the capital will host the 18th edition of Slovakia's biggest night run – Telekom Night Run Bratislava. To keep the approximately 5,000 expected participants safe, the event will require temporary restrictions for both public and private transport in Staré Mesto and Petržalka.
Supporting programme without traffic restrictions: the children's races (starting at 17:00) and the Rešpekt run charity run (starting at 18:00) take place in Sad Janka Kráľa park, so they don't require any road closures or restrictions.
Schedule of traffic restrictions
• Viedenská cesta and Krasovského street (19:15 – 22:00)
• The start and finish area closure applies to Viedenská cesta from the New Bridge (SNP Bridge) to the junction by the Aréna Theatre.
• Access to Incheba: Entry to Incheba and access from the rear via Viedenská cesta will be possible during the race.
• Main roads (20:00 – 21:00)
• The route of the main race will start closing gradually from 19:55.
• Restrictions on individual sections will last only 20 to 40 minutes – the route will reopen gradually as soon as the pack of runners has passed.
• The restrictions will mainly affect: Šafárikovo námestie, Vajanského nábrežie, Rázusovo nábrežie, Nábrežie arm. gen. L. Svobodu, Žižkova street, Kapucínska and Námestie SNP.
• Pedestrian zone and final part of the race
• The final part of the course goes through the pedestrian zone of the city centre, the SNP Bridge footbridge and Sad Janka Kráľa park, with no significant traffic restrictions.
Route of the main race (20:00 – 21:30)
• Route: Viedenská cesta (START) – Old Bridge – Šafárikovo námestie – Vajanského nábrežie – Rázusovo nábrežie – Nábrežie arm. gen. Ludvíka Svobodu – Žižkova street – tunnel under the castle hill – Skalná – Zámocká – Kapucínska – Župné námestie – Hurbanovo námestie – Obchodná street – Poštová – Námestie SNP – Michalská – Ventúrska – Hviezdoslavovo námestie – Strakova – Rybné námestie – SNP Bridge (footbridge) – Sad Janka Kráľa – Viedenská cesta (FINISH).

• Police traffic control: Traffic at all affected junctions and road exits will be directed by the police.

• Telephone helpline: During the event, the helpline 0904 404 638 will be available with up-to-date information on restrictions on individual sections.
